Board and Stakeholder’s reception on Wednesday night. County leaders met with Governor Rick Scott, Lieutenant Governor Jennifer Carroll, and Secretary of Commerce Gray Swoope.  Commissioner Meek, Seifert and Wooten also participated in the Stakeholder Council taskforce meeting on Thursday.
Commissioner Meek said the meeting was a great opportunity for Citrus County to be recognized and bring businesses to our county. “I had the honor to go to the Governor’s mansion for a reception for Enterprise Florida, which is the state of Florida’s Economic Development arm. Citrus County is working very hard to promote job creation, grow our economy and attract businesses into our county. We are working hard to get that message out throughout the state, so people know Citrus County is open for business.â€
