The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners presented a Proclamation at their regular meeting on April 23 proclaiming April 2013 as “Water Conservation Month” in Citrus County, Florida.

The Southwest Florida Water Management District and the Withlacoochee Regional Water Supply Authority designate April as Water Conservation Month, and urge consumers to become more aware of the need to save water and to take appropriate measures to conserve and protect this vital natural resource.

Citrus County has always encouraged and supported water conservation through various educational programs and special events; inspiring each business, industry, school and citizen to make a difference when it comes to conserving water by saving water and thus promote a healthy economy and community.
